Weekly memory verses

As we read Jesus’ words from Matthew 4, it is vital that we know God’s Word, in order to bring glory to Him, and to live out our lives as we should, as God desires.

Matthew 4:4        Jesus answered, “It is written: ‘Man shall not live on bread alone, but on every word that comes from the mouth of God.’ ”

The wisdom and encouragement of the text should always be with us, and we must work to know it. Each week as a community we strive to memorize God’s Word. Join with us and be challenged both by the practice and the encouragement that it brings.

Week 11

Psalm 121

1 I lift up my eyes to the mountains—
    where does my help come from?
My help comes from the Lord,
    the Maker of heaven and earth.

He will not let your foot slip—
    he who watches over you will not slumber;
indeed, he who watches over Israel
    will neither slumber nor sleep.

The Lord watches over you—
    the Lord is your shade at your right hand;
the sun will not harm you by day,
    nor the moon by night.

The Lord will keep you from all harm—
    he will watch over your life;
the Lord will watch over your coming and going
    both now and forevermore.
